[origin: EP1519453A1] The instrument has transmission ports interposed on transmission lines (I/OA, I/OB) between input/output terminals (A, B) and corresponding input/output terminals of a processor unit and a memory. The ports have transmission or non-transmission state permitting coupling or uncoupling of respective input/output terminals. A protection unit is interposed on the line between the terminals (A, B) and the ports.
