Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2004014616A1] The invention relates to a portable tool, especially a chisel hammer or a drill hammer (1), said tool comprising a receiving element for a tool insert (6) and a percussive body for driving the tool insert (6) in a percussive manner. Said percussive body can be displaced in the direction of the longitudinal axis (5) of the tool insert (6). In order to increase the percussion energy, the percussive body has a higher mass than a steel percussive body of the same volume.
