[origin: WO2004003076A1] The invention relates to a drive device for opening or closing a leaf of a door, a window or similar. Said device comprises a housing (1) and a closing spring (2), which is located in the housing (1) and acts upon a piston (3), the latter co-operating with a closing shaft (4) in the housing (1) by means of gearing. To improve a drive device of this type with respect to the choice of material, the inventive piston (3) and housing (1) consist of polyoxymethylene plastic (POM).
