Abstract (en)

[origin: DE10230741C1] The double- or multiple-block sleeper, to support the rails of a railway permanent way, is composed of a number of concrete blocks (1) with projecting reinforcements (2,3) which are bonded together e.g. by welding. Compensation sections can be inserted between the reinforcements. The concrete block reinforcements are V-shaped grid carriers (3) to form triangular prisms (4-6) with a serpentine member (7).
