[origin: DE10303726B3] The rotor (34) has an annular cross section around the rotary axis (36) of the shaft (38), and leaves an empty annular space (40), into which radial channels open. An ejector (64) in the annular space, remains stationary with respect to all the stick holders (42). It has pegs (66) to push the sticks out of the channels, whilst the rotor is stationary. The pegs retract before the rotor turns again. Rows of channels in the drum are paired. A dispenser inserts sticks into individual rows, one row at a time. Sticks are inserted by the ejector into the two successive rows in each of the adjacent molds (20). There are stick dispensers on each side of the drum, each with a supply container. The slot and channel arrangement of the dispensers is detailed. Spring-loaded grips in the channels, prevent the sticks from sliding out. Mold conveying arrangements are provided. The molds have lids with holes to center the sticks inserted. A paternoster-like conveying system, removes lids from the used, downstream molds, conveys them up and over the drum and back to the empty molds arriving, on which they are located with the aid of guide rails.
