[origin: WO03062107A1] Disclosed is a device for lifting loads (42) out of, or placing loads (42) in, holding installations (41, 43), preferably for lifting coiled rolls (42) out of holding installations of coiling devices, comprising at least one vertically traveling load-receiving means (22). The load-receiving means is positioned at the free end of an arm (20) which is pivotally mounted on a first carriage (2), said carriage being movably guided in the guide of a column (35). A second carriage (3) is movable at the column by a controlled drive. One end of a rocker (29) that is pivotable by a controlled drive is mounted on said second carriage while the other end of said rocker (29) is pivotally connected to the arms (20).
