[origin: WO2004008080A1] The invention relates to a position sensor provided in the form of a Hall-effect sensor, comprising an elongated circuit support (32), which is provided in the form of a molded interconnect device (MID) and which contains an elongated supporting element (34) made of an injection-molded plastic material. Said supporting element has, in the area of its front face (37), a supporting surface (36) that is fitted with a sensor element (26), which contains a Hall plate (27) or forms a Hall plate (27), in such a manner that the plane of the Hall plate (27) extends at a right angle to the longitudinal axis of the circuit support (32). The sensor element (26) is electrically contacted by means of conductor paths (35) that are formed by a structured metal layer applied to the supporting element (34).
