[origin: EP1522496A1] Process for fixing a thread (4) to a container made of an elastically deformable material using a knot (10'), especially for knotting a thread provided at the end with a label (5) onto a teabag (1), comprises passing the free end (6) of the thread using a needle through a hole (8) in the container from one side to the other. The free end of the remaining thread is pulled through a loop formed on the opposite side of the container to produce a knot. During insertion of the end of the thread, the loop is fixed using tongs, tension elements, the needle, or other tools. An independent claim is also included for a device for shaping a loop formed by a thread on a container made of a deformable material.
