[origin: EP1522634A2] Rear loader road milling machine comprises a milling roller (20) arranged in a roller housing (16) that is open at the bottom. An opening (B) facing the direction of travel (a) between the front part (28) of the roller housing and the road covering (18) can be closed by a height-adjustable sealing unit (26). The height of the sealing unit can be adjusted by pivoting the unit in front of the milling roller about an axis (C) in the direction of travel. Preferred Features: The sealing unit has an impact shield (30) facing the opening.
