[origin: EP1522651A2] Extendable sun protection (4), especially an awning, for attaching to a building construction (1), especially above a building or a conservatory, comprises an awning fabric (5) for unrolling from a roll and having a front end that is fixed to a retractable profile (6), and at least two guide rails (2, 3) in which the retractable profile is displaceably guided. A second retractable profile (7) is fixed to the first retractable profile. Preferred Features: The second retractable profile can be extended as soon as the first retractable profile reaches an end position of a maximum movement path in the guide rail.
