[origin: EP1522665A1] Door hinge, especially for a vehicle, comprises a pillar bracket (5) for attaching to the vehicle, a door bracket (3) for attaching to a door, and a snib (2) with a spring element (6) engaging in catches in a carrier plate (7). The pillar bracket and the door bracket are connected to each other via a hinge pin (4). A cam (11) rotationally fixed to the free end (9) of the spring element running in the region of the carrier plate engages with its outer surface in the carrier plate. An independent claim is also included for a spring element, especially for use in the above door hinge.
