Abstract (en)
The cable screening expansion device has drive motor for rotation of a thorn or cylinder, provided with a front surface parallel to its rotation axis having a radial slot extending between the centre of the thorn or cylinder and its outer surface, for reception of the coaxial cable end, at an angle to the front face, for sidewards deflection of the cable inner conductor, allowing a conical expansion foil to be inserted between the latter and the cable screening. An independent claim for a method for expansion of the screening of a coaxial cable is also included.

Um ein Koaxialkabel (12) bearbeiten zu können, wird vorgeschlagen, das abisolierte Ende (10) des Kabels (12) in eine Nut (20) eines rotierbaren Zylinders (30) zu stecken und den Zylinder (30) zu drehen und damit die Abschirmung (16) und allenfalls eine innerhalb der Abschirmung gelegene Metallfolie (17) schonend aufzuweiten, damit zwischen diese und dem Leiter (14) eine Hülse oder Ähnliches geschoben werden kann. <IMAGE>
