Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1523067A1] The cable screening expansion device uses a rotatable thorn or cylinder provided with a radial slot in its front face for reception of the conductor (14) projecting from the stripped end of the coaxial cable (12), such that the rotation of the thorn or cylinder causes sidewards deflection of the conductor, resulting in an outwards expansion of the cable screening (16). An independent claim for a method for expansion of the cable screening of a coaxial cable is also included.
