[origin: WO2004009243A1] Disclosed is a device for separating aerosols or gas particles, comprising a housing through which the gases containing the components that are to be separated flow, a separator that is disposed within said flow housing, and a corona electrode that is disposed upstream from the separator and essentially outside the gas flow. An air volume flow flows from the corona electrode into the gas flow in order to convey the charge carriers produced by the corona electrode into a charging zone within the flow housing.
