Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2004015263A1] The invention relates to a fuel injection valve (1), the intake end (2) of which is provided with a inlet port (11). The outer periphery of said inlet port (11) comprises at least two sealing rings (13, 14) which seal the fuel injection valve towards a valve seat (3), are disposed in a ring chamber (18, 19), respectively, being separated from each other in an axial direction by means of an intermediate ring (15). Said intermediate ring (15) is independent of the inlet port (11) and comprises two parts. A flexible outer ring (26) is locked on top of an inner injection-molded supporting ring (22). The outer ring (26) is mounted only once the first sealing ring (14) has been moved over the supporting ring (22) and has been stripped. The inventive fuel injection valve is particularly suitable for mixture-compressing, externally ignited internal combustion engines.
