[origin: DE10232693A1] The fuel injection valve, for an internal combustion motor, has a valve housing (1) in a hollow cylindrical shape with a valve seat at the end. An inner coaxial valve needle (2) has a valve plate (4) to work with the valve seat, and the fuel flows within the housing in the space (9) between its inner wall and the valve needle. The outer surfaces (5,6) of the housing and the valve plate, when closed, form a common surface at their dividing line (10) which is smooth and free of steps or edges, and in the required curvature.
