[origin: EP1524027A2] Straight-arm paddle agitator, to mix viscous reaction mixtures in beakers in small volumes, has at least one shaft (1) with a rotary drive and the straight-arm stirrer. The ends of the stirrer arm each have angled segments (3) at an angle of 25-65[deg] to the shaft axis, and preferably 30-60[deg], and with a width up to 10% of the outer diameter of the stirrer. A parallel arm (2b) is over the stirrer arm, with passage openings (4) between them. The outer edges of the segments have scrapers of an elastomer or thermoplastic material. The outer edges of the segments and the base of the arm scrape the inner walls of the mixing beaker.
