Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1524354A1] A continuously operating apparatus (1) for the wet heat treatment of a continuous textile substrate (2) advancing in a predetermined direction is described, the apparatus (1) comprising: a unit (3) for hydro-thermal treatment of the textile substrate (2), comprising a chamber (32) able to contain a heated treatment fluid (35); a group (40) for conveying the textile substrate (2) into the hydro-thermal treatment unit (3); and a group (41) for conveying the textile substrate (2) out of the hydro-thermal treatment unit (3), characterized in that it also comprises pressure sealing groups (50,51), said pressure sealing groups being associated with said substrate conveying groups (40,41) so as to close said chamber (32) in a substantially sealed manner so that the treatment fluid (35) may be pressurized to a pressure higher than atmospheric pressure.
