[origin: EP1524404A2] Process for monitoring a construction comprises detection, control and regulating modules (1) connected via communication pathways (3). The modules are connected to a tubular system (2) inserted into the building and pass values acquired by sensors (8) to central acquisition, evaluation and sensor modules (9) to determine air quality and physical and/or chemical fire characteristics so that ventilators (6) or other control elements for protecting the building and the people within can be controlled. An independent claim is also included for a device for carrying out the process.
