Abstract (en)
A contact (1), which is for a flat cable electrical connector used for electrically connecting a flat cable (40) to a contact of a counterpart connector, is disclosed. The contact (1) includes: a piercing part (3), equipped with protrusions (2) to be pierced through a conductor (41) of the flat cable (40); a linking part (4), having one end linked to the piercing part (3) and extending towards the opposite side of the direction in which the protrusions (2) protrude; and a connection part (5), being connected to the other end of the linking part (4) and being for electrical connection with the contact of the counterpart connector. <IMAGE>
