Abstract (en)

[origin: DE10233754A1] A textile web is treated by hot circulating air (1) which is heated via a heat exchanger with two burners (9, 10) and flame pipes (11, 13) which are transverse to the direction of incoming air flow through the suction chamber. Each burner (9, 10) is esp. associated with an individual heat exchanger occupying half (7, 8) of the suction chamber. The two flame pipes (11, 13) are presented transverse to the direction of incoming air (1) and together extend the full width of the chamber. Each of the flame pipes extends only over one half (7, 8) of the chamber. The division (18, 19) between the two pipes is located either in the air inlet zone or the air outlet zone and incorporates a temperature sensor (20, 21) and temperature control unit (22, 23) associated with the respective burner (9, 10).
