Device for determining the consistency of a casting strand (5) in a continuous casting installation and/or in the throat width comprises a measuring roller (6) in contact with a casting strand, a first guiding element (11) on which the roller is located to rotate about the axis of rotation (7), a second guiding element (12), and a linear drive (14) interacting with the guiding elements and in contact with the casting strand.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Anordnung zur Ermittlung der Konsistenz eines Gießstranges 5 in einer Stranggießanlage und/oder der Maulweite derselben umfassend eine Messrolle 6, die mit dem Gießstrang 5 in Kontakt bringbar ist und ein erstes Längsende 8 und ein zweites Längsende 9 sowie eine Drehachse 7 aufweist, ein erstes Führungselement, an dem die Messrolle 6 um die Drehachse 7 drehbar gelagert ist, ein zweites Führungselement 12, dem gegenüber das erste Führungselement entlang einer Stellebene S, die die Drehachse 7 enthält, bewegbar geführt ist, und einen Linearantrieb 14, der am ersten Führungselement und am zweiten Führungselement 12 angreift und über den die Messrolle 6 entlang der Stellebene S kraft und/oder weggesteuert mit dem Gießstrang 5 in Kontakt bringbar ist. <IMAGE>
