Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1526193A1] The clothing for a fixed or rotating comb, in a textile combing machine, has a number of adjacent needles (1) each with a foot (4) and a pointed tip (3) and a shoulder (6) transit between the foot and the tip. A free passage space (5) is between the tips of neighboring needles, to allow fibers to pass through during combing. The needles are produced in a stamping as a row (2) of needles, to give a needle density of >=33 needles/cm.
