To optimize the operation (6) of a textile machine, and especially an open-end spinner, the working is controlled by the adjustment of at least one parameter. The parameters are put into an assisted mode (3) for the operator to add additional data and/or the required operating measures. The operator can switch between the assisted mode and an unassisted mode (2). Known parameters and/or measures to clear faults are stored in a knowledge memory (17), to work with a fault correction routine (10) and production monitor routine (16).

Es wird ein Verfahren zur Verbesserung des Produktionsablaufs bei Textilmaschinen, insbesondere bei Offenend-Spinnmaschinen, beansprucht, deren Arbeitsweisen durch die Einstellung von wenigstens einem Parameter steuerbar sind und deren Betrieb (6) die Durchführung von Bedienmassnahmen erfordert. Hierbei ist das Verfahren dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass die Parametereingabe in einem assistierten Modus (3) vorgenommen wird, wobei einem Bediener bei Bedarf von der Eingabeeinrichtung Zusatzinformationen zu den benötigten Parametern und/oder den erforderlichen Bedienmassnahmen bereitgestellt werden. <IMAGE>
