Abstract (en)

[origin: DE10233898A1] Fluorinated hydrocarbons are recovered from mixtures with e.g. carbon dioxide, nitrogen, air or noble gases, by means of at least one adsorption of the fluoro compounds onto hydrophobic zeolite with a SiO2 : Al2O3 ratio of 80:1 and a pore diameter of 0.4 -2nm. A preliminary separation may first be made using a membrane process, and the fluorocarbon lean permeate treated by adsorption. An Independent claim is included for a vehicle mounted processing plant comprising one or more membrane separation stages and one or more zeolite packed adsorbers.
