[origin: WO03093015A1] The invention relates to a printing system for imprinting caps, particularly screw caps, for containers, particularly bottles. According to the invention, the printing system is provided with a rotating big wheel that comprises mandrels, which are attached to the periphery of said wheel and which are provided for accommodating the caps, and with at least one printing mechanism for imprinting the caps on the outside, whereby the caps are also imprinted on the inside. The printing system is characterized in that each mandrel (113) of the rotating big wheel (2), this mandrel being provided for the inside printing, has a central longitudinal channel (14) and a tappet (15) that can be longitudinally displaced therein. In addition, the outer end of the tappet (15) supports a tampon (16), which fits inside the cap and is provided for receiving and applying ink.
