[origin: WO2004013220A1] The present invention provides a crosslinkable or crosslinked rubber composition useful for producing a tread of a tyre cover having an improved wear resistance. Said tread and a tyre cover incorporating the same are also disclosed. In particular, said invention applies to tyre covers for passenger vehicles. Said rubber composition, which contains a plasticizing resin having a number-average molecular weight from 400 to 2,000 g/mol, is characterised in that it contains units derived from the polymerization of vinylcyclohexene.
