Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2004013431A1] An insulating layer (2) for flat and low-slope roofs (1) consists of preferably parallelepipedal insulant elements (11), which comprise two large surfaces and four lateral surfaces, the large surfaces being located at a distance and running parallel to one another and being interconnected by the lateral surfaces that run at right angles to one another. Said large surfaces lie one above the other on a supporting structure (3), for example a substructure consisting of trapezoidal steel profiles (4), in such a way that the lateral surfaces of neighbouring insulant elements lie adjacent to one another. Elements (13), which are more resistant to pressure than the insulant elements consisting of mineral fibres and have a thermal conductivity of less than or equal to 0.060 W/mK, are arranged between said insulant elements in a partial area (12). The latter is configured as a surface (14) that can support a man or vehicle.
