[origin: EP1527900A1] In recording material with substrate (A) and heat-sensitive layer (B) containing dye precursor(s) (I), N-p-toluenesulfonyl-N'-(3-p-toluenesulfonyloxyphenyl)urea compound (II) as developer for (I) on heating, calcium carbonate (III) and binder (IV), the novel features are that (B) has polar component of surface tension of 5-9.5 mN/m by Owens-Wendt method and ratio of disperse:polar components of (3.5-7.0):1; (III):(IV) ratio is (1.8-3.3):1; and (III) is only pigment in (B). An independent claim is also included for production of this material.
