Abstract (en)
Process for heat treating carbon-containing steels, especially sheets or tubes, comprises heating the steel to the austenizing temperature and quenching to room temperature using water as a cooling medium. The temperature of the water is adjusted in one region above room temperature to below 80[deg]C for carbon steels having carbon contents of 0.35-0.5 %.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Wärmebehandlung kohlenstoffhaltiger Stähle, insbesondere von Blechen oder Rohren, wobei der Stahl auf Austenitisierungstemperatur erwärmt und danach mittels eines Kühlmediums auf nahezu Raumtemperatur abgeschreckt wird, wobei als Kühlmedium Wasser verwendet wird. Hierbei wird die Temperatur des Wassers in einem Bereich oberhalb Raumtemperatur bis unterhalb 80°C für Kohlenstoffstähle mit C-Gehalten 0,3% bis 0,5% eingestellt.
