[origin: EP1528134A2] A yarn-treatment device comprises a column of chambers connected by yarn-inlet and yarn-outlet channels. The chambers contain a stream treatment chamber (5) with a steam inlet (5.1) and a condensate outlet (5.2), and mixing chambers (4, 6) operating upstream and downstream of the treatment chamber. Each mixing chamber has an air inlet (4.1, 6.1) and a condensate outlet (4.2, 6.2). The yarn inlet and outlet channels of the stream treatment chamber have an opening cross section to make a pneumatic yarn threading-in, and to control the exchange of air and steam between the chambers, such that the steam-air-mixture atmosphere sets in, to close the entrance of air into the steam treatment chamber. The steam-air-mixture atmosphere is controlled by regulation devices that regulate the steam and air supply to the steam treatment chamber or respective mixing chambers. The downstream mixing chamber is connected to a cooling and drying chamber (7), and includes a jet connected with protection plates. The treatment device further comprises yarn delivery rollers (11, 12) at upper and lower ends of the column of chambers.
