Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1528342A2] The drying system has a vacuum chamber (1) which encloses the workpiece (1.1). A cascade evaporator (24) evaporates a solvent. The vapor flows downward (29) from the evaporator and heats the workpiece by condensing on it. The solvent vapor (5.4) flows downward through a guide channel (5). There is a guide sheet which guides a mixed stream of water vapor and solvent vapor (30) from the vacuum chamber and forms a venturi nozzle. A circuit external to the vacuum chamber includes a pump (8), control valves (20.8,20.9) and a solvent heater (25) and a solvent evaporator (24.2).
