[origin: WO2004019833A2] The invention relates to a arm positioning splint for patients with brachial paralysis, comprising a longitudinal support on which the arm is positioned. According to the invention, the splint (1) is made from a 40 to 50 cm long and ca. 25cm wide planar piece (2) of wood, metal or another rigid material, coated on the upper side thereof with an elastic hypoallergenic layer (3) with a low penetration depth. A boss-like projection (4) is provided in the end region of the splint (1), suitable for the positioning of a hand, in other words, ergonomically embodied. The splint (1) is supported such as to be able to rotate about the end thereof not provided with the hand positioning, in other words about the end in the region of the supported elbow and to move transverse to the longitudinal extension thereof.
