Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2004018188A1] The invention relates to a device for briquetting dusts or slurries, in particular metal swarf slurries, with a charging device with a container (1) for filling with material for pressing. A filling screw (3) is arranged in said container (1), driven by a screw drive (4) and which expels the material for pressing through a container opening (5). A briquette press, comprising a forming chamber (7), within which a pressing stamp (10) moves, an inlet opening, for introduction of the material for pressing expelled from the container opening (5) and a sliding seal device (14), for the sealing and opening of the forming chamber end, is further provided. The charging device is embodied as a self-contained module and assembled on the briquette press such as to be easily exchanged.
