Abstract (en)

[origin: DE10236080A1] Method for controlling process flows, especially in a motor vehicle, whereby a function unit (3) sends and receives information via a bus driver (4) to a bus system (2). A monitoring unit (8) monitors the function unit and generates an error signal (WDA) that depends on its operating state. If an error is detected the error signal deactivates the bus driver so that no signals are sent or received over the bus network. Independent claims are also included for the following:- (a) a device for controlling and or regulating process flows, (b) a control unit (1) for controlling process flows, especially in a motor vehicle.
