[origin: EP1529454A1] Reinforcing strips (10) for an avoidance of collapsing are accommodated in pockets (11) positioned at the outer surface of the gauntlet. The strip (10) is inserted through an opening (13) at the upper edge of the glove and a flap (12) pulled over its upper end. The flap (12) is fastened with a suitable device (14) which can be a screw. The strip (10) can be removed for cleaning or for being replaced.
