Abstract (en)

An electrical connector is adapted and arranged to simplify the operation of fitting a lid into a housing body of the electrical connector, and in turn realize enhancement in productivity and reduction in production cost of the connector. A connector housing assembly for assembling the electrical connector (100), comprises the connector housing body (110) that is provided with a receiving chamber (111) being open to outside, a contact (120) that is received in the connector housing body (110) in such a way that it can contact a counterpart contact, and a lid (130) that fits into the connector housing body (110) to cover the receiving chamber (111), the electrical connector (100) being so arranged that the wire (W) that is connected to the contact (120) is led out through a space between the connector housing body (110) and the lid (130). This connector housing assembly is a combination of the connector housing body (110) and a lid assembling member (A) wherein an auxiliary member (140) is interconnected to the lid (130) by a severable interconnecting part (150).
