[origin: WO2004005827A1] The invention relates to a heat exchanger in particular an evaporator for a vehicle air-conditioning unit, comprising at least one manifold (2, 11), which has at least two collector chambers (3, 4), essentially defined by means of a bottom arrangement (12) and an upper arrangement (13). The upper arrangement (13) has a medial lateral wall (15) arranged adjacent to another over a section thereof. The separation between both lateral walls (15, 25) increases with the height over the bottom arrangement (12).
