Sweeping machine comprises a housing (16), a sweepings container, and a sweeping roller (18) covered by the housing and rotatably mounted on a height-adjusting device (32). The height-adjusting device can be pivoted by an adjusting mechanism about a pivot axis (36) running parallel to the axis of rotation (40). The adjusting mechanism has a pivot arm (46) that protrudes out of the housing and can be locked in different positions about the pivot axis. Preferred Features: The end region (50) of the pivot arm protruding out of the housing is provided with a handle (54) that is held on the pivot arm so that it can be displaced between a lock-in position, in which the pivot arm is locked, and a release position, in which the pivot arm can be pivoted.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Kehrmaschine mit einem Gehäuse, einem Kehrgutbehälter und einer vom Gehäuse überdeckten Kehrwalze, die an einer Höhenverstelleinrichtung um eine Drehachse drehbar gelagert ist, wobei die Höhenverstelleinrichtung mittels einer Verstellmechanik um eine parallel zur Drehachse ausgerichtete Schwenkachse verschwenkbar ist. Um die Kehrmaschine derart weiterzubilden, daß die Lage der Kehrwalze mit verhältnismäßig geringem Kraftaufwand verändert werden kann, wobei die Kehrmaschine einen konstruktiv einfachen Aufbau aufweist, wird erfindungsgemäß vorgeschlagen, daß die Verstellmechanik einen um die Schwenkachse verstellbaren Schwenkarm aufweist, der aus dem Gehäuse herausragt und in unterschiedlichen Schwenkstellungen lösbar arretierbar ist. <IMAGE>
