[origin: EP1531214A2] The door or window fitting mounting (10) has a base plate (12) which is flat and has an elongated oval form with rounded ends and a peripheral edge (14). The plate has a central bearing bush (15) for a handle shaft. The plate has a pair of cam pins (16) extending at right angles to it for a defined multiple of the thickness of the plate. The pins are received in circumferential supports on the plate.
