[origin: WO03091115A1] An apparatus (1) for removing a wrapping film (2) from packages (3) of objects, in particular of lids (4), which has an unusual capability also to cut the end portions (2b) of the film effectively and quickly, comprises means (26) for cutting the wrapping film (2), the cutting means (26) being mounted on the apparatus (1) in a cutting station (19) disposed between a region (9) for the input of the packages (3a) and a region (20) for the output of the objects free of the wrapping film (2). The cutting means (26) comprise two cutting heads (27) mounted so as to be movable relative to the apparatus (1) along an axis having at least a component substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis (AA) of a package (3a) disposed in the cutting station (19).
