[origin: WO2004018807A2] The invention relates to a motor vehicle door lock comprising a casing (1), a drive (2) and a fixing device (5) for said drive (2), wherein the fixing device (5) has a receiving element (6) for the drive (2) and said drive is fixed in the receiving element (6) by means of the fixing device (5). According to the invention, the receiving element (6) as such is configured at least partly in a resilient manner and has a resilient part (8), the receiving element (6) can be placed in a position that fixes or releases the drive (2) which is lodged in the receiving element (6), preferably by means of elastic deformation and the fixing device (5) has an actuatable locking device (9). By actuating said locking device (9), the latter (9) engages with the receiving element (6) and brings the receiving element (6) to the fixing position or retains the receiving element (6).
