[origin: EP1532872A1] The tobacco is guided by a belt and pulley arrangement (12, 13, 16, 17) through the conical space formed between them removing air and moisture from the substance by compressing. The lower unit (13) is stationary joined to the frame causing the upper element (12) to yield to the pressure. Two elements designed as corrugated pneumatically operated rubber cylinders (34, 36) are positioned underneath the system (12, 13, 16, 17) in order to compensate the lifting forces of the tobacco.
