Abstract (en)
In a ground structure (3) of the fabric (2) a given pattern (4) is woven. This is taken as an identification confirming authenticity. At the loom, sley force is controlled in accordance with a given scheme or pattern. A pattern is obtained by variation in weft- and/or warp tension, in accordance with a given scheme. Further variables exploited in this way, include the angle of shed opening, width control and incorporation of differing wefts (5) or warps (6). A serial number is woven-in. The pattern (4) is woven such that its special character is undetectable to the naked eye, when unassisted by technical measurement equipment (7). The testing method forms a reference digital data set which undergoes single- or multidimensional transformation, e.g. using fast Fourier transformation. The loom may have its own weaving fingerprint, which is detected in this way. Optical equipment is used for measurement. Independent claims are included for the corresponding fabric and testing method.

Vorgeschlagen wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Gewebes (2), wobei in eine Grundstruktur (3) des Gewebes (2) ein vorgegebenes Muster (4) gewebt wird, welches als Identifizierungsmerkmal zur Prüfung der Echtheit des Gewebes (2) herangezogen wird. Ferner betrifft die Erfindung ein nach dem Verfahren hergestelltes Gewebe (2) sowie ein Prüfverfahren (P) zur Prüfung der Echtheit des Gewebes (2). <IMAGE>
