Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1533462A2] Fire-protection sealing element comprises a casing enclosing a cavity, and insulation (7) introduced into the cavity for heat insulation and/or cooling of the casing in the event of a fire. The insulation has different designs along the height (h) and width (b) of the fire-protection sealing element so that it conforms with the different temperature requirements along the height and or width of the fire-protection sealing element. An independent claim is also included for the production of the above fire-protection sealing element. Preferred Features: The insulation is formed by several strips (11-13) of glass or mineral wool plates with different apparent densities and/or different amounts of coolant.
