Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1533502A2] To establish the initial volume of fuel to be injected, as part of the fuel compensation control (MAR) for the fuel injection at an internal combustion motor where at least one fuel injector is controlled with an activating duration, a volume correction is computed according to at least one motor working characteristic value, while the initial injection phase is switched off and supplied with the corrected fuel volume. The initial injection phases are switched off at given points in the motor cycle. The initial injection volume is calculated at a computer, by multiplication of the correction volume by an efficiency factor.
