Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1533571A2] A process for producing a ceramic glow plug which has more than two layers, comprises forming the layers by coextrusion. The layers are symmetric to the plug axis, are coaxial, and consist of a conducting layer and/or a layer, which is perpendicular to the plug axis . The layers are applied by spraying, pressing or dipping. The layers are sintered and are then thermally sprayed and ground. A mantle is applied by spraying, pressing or dipping. The plug consists of an inner cylinder (1), an insulating layer (2), the coaxial conducting layer (3) and a heating layer (4).
