Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2004023916A1] The invention relates to an insole that is essentially adapted to the profile of a human foot and has, in the middle foot area, an elastically deformable dome-like arch that faces the foot. The aim of the invention is to reduce the technical complexity and financial expense of producing an insole, to increase the wearing comfort of a shoe by an insole, particularly by an insertable insole, to improve the fit of the shoe by means of an insole, and to ventilate or aerate the inside of the shoe with the aid of an insole. To these ends, the inventive insole comprises, in the area of the elastically deformable arch, at least one ventilation opening that, during walking, interacts with the elastically deformable arch to ventilate the inside of the shoe.
