[origin: WO2004020721A1] Disclosed is a knitted fabric in the form of a meshed net made of small plastic bands (1, 2), in which the small fringed bands (1) are shaped into meshes (4) that form loops around small weft bands (2). Each of the small fringed bands (1) and/or weft bands (2) is supplemented with one or several separate small bands (1a, 1b) or threads, e.g. thin monofilaments, which run along the small fringed bands (1) or weft bands (2) and the melting temperature or hot-seal temperature of which is lower than the melting temperature of the other weft bands or fringed bands (1, 2). The meshed net is then fixed within by means of pressing at the melting temperature or hot-seal temperature of the supplementary small bands (1a, 2a) or threads which form binding means.
