[origin: DE10241877A1] The gear selector system incorporates an emergency gear-change system (44) with a lever (45) moving in a slotted fitting (46). There is a connection for a lock for an ignition key (43) and a Bowden (RTM) cable (42) connected to an emergency actuation lever (41) on the member (30) normally driven by the electric motor (13). Pawls (23) engage in internal teeth in a drive wheel (18) turned by a worm gear (17) connected to the electric motor. In an emergency, the emergency gear-change lever can move the gear-change to the Park (P) position.
